PRE-AP SUMMER ASSIGNMENTS FOR STUDENTS ENTERING SPANISH 3

2015 SPANISH PRE-AP SUMMER ASSIGNMENT (Do ALL 3)



1. Read and study the grammar and vocabulary for units 5-8. You will be introducing (teaching) one of these grammar concepts to the class the first week of school. You may use any on-line resources you find such as Google, YouTube, Pinterest, etc. Along with preparing to teach the concept to your classmates, you will need to develop a game or activity to help reinforce the concept. (If you design a worksheet, don't make copies. We will do this for you.) This assignment is worth 100 points and will be recorded the first week of school.



2. Find a native speaker and practice your Spanish thru the summer. You will need to tell the class about your Spanish speaking experience/ideas. (New words you learned, how you communicated, etc.)






3. Students who are going to take pre AP should practice vocabulary thru the summer. Recommended websites/apps: duolingo, classzone.com, cram.com, etc.I also recommend:* downloading the free podcast Notes in Spanish Beginner. Listen to as many podcasts as you can during the summer.*when you watch a movie, turn on the Spanish sub-titles*read anything you can get your hands on that is in Spanish. (magazines, newspapers, children's books, etc.)
